killing time

I'm already experimenting a little, but I don't like the way this map turned out. For one thing, I accidentally put the crosshatching around the entry door to this dungeon. I thought it would be a good idea if I just created a crosshatching pattern that I could insert digitally as a background. As you can see, it's taking some time.

  1. You don't have to fill a full page. You can make a tileable one. You can download mine here if you want:
There are two patterns, one with the cross hatching and one with pebbles that I use to overlay the cross hatching. In photoshop it means that you need to make the inside of the pebbles white (select the pebbles and erase the selected area on the crosshatch layer); in GIMP, you can use patterns with colors and have the white area white from the start).
I hope you'll find it useful.

    1. I appreciate the assist but I don't have photoshop.
I have Scribus installed on my desktop so I'll see if I can open the .pat file there
